Refund & Returns Policy

In line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA):

  • Customers may return goods within 7 days of receipt if the product is defective, unsafe, or not as described.

  • Returns are not accepted on opened bottles of wine unless the wine is faulty, contaminated, or damaged in transit.

  • To request a return, email info@duvenhagewines.co.za within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include order details and photos if the item is damaged.

  • Approved returns are usually refunded within 7–14 business days, or the product will be replaced. If there are delays, we will contact you to arrange a suitable resolution.

  • Refunds are normally processed using the same payment method originally used, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

 

Shipping Policy

  • Orders are usually shipped within 2–5 business days, subject to stock availability.

  • Delivery usually takes 2–7 working days for major cities and up to 10 working days for outlying areas.

  • If your order cannot be dispatched within these timeframes, we will contact you to make alternative arrangements or offer a refund.

  • Shipping fees are calculated at checkout.

  • Customers receive a tracking number once their order has been dispatched.

  • We deliver across South Africa using trusted couriers experienced in handling wine.

  • If a wine vintage is out of stock after purchase, we will notify you to arrange a replacement or issue a refund.

 

Consumer Data Privacy Policy

We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

  • We collect only the personal information necessary (name, age verification, contact details, delivery address, payment info) to process and deliver wine orders.

  • Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties, except for service providers directly involved in fulfilling your order (couriers, payment processors).

  • We use reasonable security measures to protect customer data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

  • You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@duvenhagewines.co.za. We usually respond within a reasonable time and will inform you if more time is needed.

  • Orders are confirmed only once payment has been received.

  • We accept payments through secure third-party payment gateways.

  • All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).

 

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates. While we usually deliver within the stated periods, delays may occur due to courier or external factors.

  • If delivery is delayed beyond the usual timeframe, we will contact you to arrange alternatives or offer a refund.

  • Deliveries must be received by someone 18 years or older. Couriers may request proof of age on delivery.

 

7. Returns & Refunds

  • Returns and refunds are handled in line with our Refund & Returns Policy.
